Like many girls, makeup and skin care have been a part of my life since high school and college. That didn't change, even when I moved around the world to China, where I have lived for the last three years. But after doing some more research into the brands I was buying and supporting in China, I was very upset to find that Chinese law makes it mandatory to test all cosmetic products and ingredients on animals before they can be sold in stores. 

In the last year, I've changed all of my skincare habits and have begun to only support cruelty free brands. Cruelty Free International makes this information easy to find, by promoting and encouraging the use of the Leaping Bunny logo on all cruelty free items. They also work with governments and politicians all over the world to lobby for a permanent end to animal testing, not just in makeup but in all consumer products.
