We fund bone cancer research & grant wishes to seriously ill people #makingmemories

Story

Hannah Francis was talented, young and had her whole life ahead of her when she was told she had bone cancer.  She was brave to the end and used her 15 months of treatment to not only fight her own cancer but that of others by registering a charity and raising over £115,000 for cancer research.  Hannah showed she was not just brave on her horse, but also in life. It's story's like these that make you realise life is precious and you need to make the most of it and fulfill your dreams.  I have always wanted to compete in a ODE and if I can achieve this goal, while raising money for cancer research all the better.

After many, many years of not riding at 40 I decided to buy a horse with the dream to some day compete on.  I was not planning on buying a 17.2hh thoroughbred, but Kermit won me over with his kind nature and together we are now on our way to our first ever BE80 for the both of us.

For my non-horsey friends a BE80 is a British Eventing 80cm One Day Event, that entails competing in 3 disciplines of Dressage, Showjumping and Cross-country all in one day with a combined score from all 3 phases.  Neither Kermit or I have ever done this so we need lots of practise, training and my best brave pants (especially for the cross-country) to get us ready for this.

Thank you so much for your donation and sponsoring me on this journey.  I'll keep you all posted along the way.........
