The Lanarkshire Referees Association 24 hour relay Charity Run for Chris's House, mental health. Wishaw · 4 September 2020

Chris’s House is a Centre of Help, Response and Intervention Surrounding Suicide and has been set up to offer a safe environment where people in crisis may have a respite from their current unwellness, by finding refuge in Chris’s House.

Story

Members of the Lanarkshire Referees Association are running for 24 hours to raise money for a local charity chosen by the Management Committee – Chris's House, Wishaw. This event will Kick Off at 3pm on Friday 4th September 2020 and the Final Whistle will be blown at 3pm on Saturday 5th September 2020.

Each runner will have a one hour time slot to run as many kilometres as possible. If you would like to see the total distance covered by our members - check out the Lanarkshire Referee Association Facebook page.

During these challenging times, we feel the need to support the services that look after our community in times of difficulty. Thankfully, the awareness of mental health has improved tenfold in recent years but there is still a long way to go. The enthusiasm of the members to take part in this charity event is fantastic and we hope to raise as much money as we possibly can, and hopefully raise awareness of a vital charity doing great work within the local community.
