Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Lap of Anglia's JustGiving page! A
group of cyclists are doing something incredible for East Anglian Air
Ambulance (EAAA). Cycling over 400 miles in just four days in August 2019, we aim to highlight the large area covered by EAAA. Please also follow our process up to (and during) the Lap at @LapofAnglia on Twitter, and our website www.lapofanglia.co.uk, and like us at www.facebook.com/lapofanglia

Since EAAA's launch in 2000 they have attended over 24,000 lifesaving missions, touching the lives of many thousands of people. Read on to find out more about the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Their crew comprises specialist prehospital doctors and critical-care paramedics, operating out of two high-tech helicopters from 07:00 until 19:00 from a Norwich base and from 07:00 until 01:30 from a Cambridge base. They were the first air ambulance in the country to attend helicopter emergency medical incidents in the hours of darkness to unknown and unlit.
