Yorkshire Warrior 2015 · 18 April 2015

Women are still getting breast cancer and dying from it. That’s why Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have joined forces to become the UK’s largest dedicated breast cancer research charity. And with your help, together we can put an end to breast cancer, once and for all.

Story

On the 18th of April, I am taking part in the Yorkshire Warrior obstacle course race. After originally signing up for the 5 mile race, I have since decided to attempt the 10 mile course instead. The challenge involves all sorts of obstacles, from jumping over hay bales, wading through ice baths, to running through an electric shock field and a 0.5 mile underground tunnel. I am taking part with Leeds University Kickboxing and Krav Maga society, this will be a challenge for us all, as we are generally used to training bare foot in the sports hall!

We are raising money for the Breast Cancer Campaign charity, a fantastic organisation that I have previously raised money for. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and around 50,000 women and 350 men are diagnosed and affected by it each year. Breast Cancer Campaign are the only cancer charity that have made a set goal to find a cure by 2050.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated!
