I want to start off the year by doing something good for some worthwhile causes, and so I have decided to start by supporting two marvellous charities in one fell swoop.

I will be cutting my hair, and donating the curls to Little Princess Trust (who make real hair wigs for children suffering with hair loss - http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/) but, in doing this, I want to raise funds for a charity who has done wonderful work for my family the past couple of months - Blood Bikes (http://www.milkbanks.co.uk/). 

In October my sister gave birth to very beautiful, and very premature, twin boys.  Because of lack of space at their local hospital in Bristol, the babies were moved to Bath - a wonderful unit, but not easy or cheap to commute to every day.  This fantastic charity picked up my sister (and the all important breast milk) every day from her door and took her to Bath so she could be with her babies.  This simple premise helped immensely at a very fraught time.  I would love to get this charity some more support and acknowledgement, so that they can go on helping new parents like my sister and brother in law.  I would really appreciate any donations, no matter how big or small - I know everyone's a little broke after Christmas, but how wonderful to kickstart the new year by helping these two fantastic charities.
