Southampton Hospital Charity

We raise vital funds to enhance facilities and services at UHS

Charity Registration No. 1051543

I have chosen to undertake this challege of a life time

to raise funds to help the completion of a brand new exclusive Paediatic Emergency Department.

I have been a paeditric nurse for over five years. I currently work in Southampton Hospital, in two separate areas; the Emergency Department (ED) and the Paediatric Assesment Unit (PAU).  Both areas see a high number of children from all over the South of England on a daily basis and provide excellent care but this can be improved.

The proposed Paediatric Emergnecy Department will combine PAU and ED to form one specialist unit. Operating together will enhance paediatric care. Giving medical and nursing staff the opportunity to provide the best possible treatment and support for children and  their familes, in a dedicated, child friendly and suitable area.

I will be completing the 300 mile bike ride from London to Paris in order to raise money for this fantastic development.
Believe me I am no champion cyclist, I got my road bike a year ago and rode it only a couple of times. This is a huge challenge for me and I will appreciate all the support.
