It's forever been a dream of mine to run a marathon but 26.2 miles has always seemed a little bit too far. Now is the time to push that aside and on 26th May I'll be taking on the Edinburgh Marathon. To make it all that more special, I will be raising money for the Ministry of Stories.
I have volunteered and worked at the Ministry of Stories and know first-hand the amazing work that happens in supporting young people to share their voices with the world. Whether that's through writing picture books, recording podcasts or performing speeches at the Houses of Parliament, I've seen the power that creative writing can have on young people.
To give you some more information, the Ministry of Stories is a creative writing and mentoring charity which delivers a range of innovative writing programmes, and mentoring to help young people discover and realise their own creative potential.
Your support will motivate me through my training and more importantly, help to unleash the imagination of young writers.
