Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So, I have decided (or actually Sean signed me up!!) to run Wrexham’s half marathon on Sunday 17th February 2019.

All that know me know I am certainly not a runner however this year I challenged myself to run a minimum of 5km a day and eventually clocked 181km (113 mile) for the month of January.

I was prepared for this to be a physical challenge but the mental side actually catapulted over to be the hardest challenge I faced. The thing that kept me going was knowing that this was a temporary challenge and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel, however for many this isn’t the case.

Having worked at Grosvenor Estate for over 6 years and having the absolute pleasure of working under the leadership of the late 6th Duke of Westminster, I also had the delight of listening to him talk about his dream of creating a world leading defence and national rehabilitation centre in the UK for our amazing service men and women and civilians. Safe to say his vision was nothing less than inspiring, selfless and motivational.

If I can raise anything to help this amazing cause I will, so if you have any spare pennies to sponsor me running this half marathon you won’t only help me get over that finish line but you will be most importantly helping those that deserve it more than you will ever know. Nothing is to big or small - thank you in advance!
