Men are statistically three times as likely to take their own lives as women.

Suicide is the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 in the UK.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people in the UK.

On average, one ex serviceman takes their own life every two weeks. 

The average waiting time for effective treatment is 10 years. 

Having had my own battle with mental health and having witnessed close friends, colleagues and family suffer with their mental health, I think more should be done to support young people, in particular our serving and retired military personnel.
