We work with the world’s poorest children to help them build a better future.

Story

Thank you for reading into Lee & Thompson's fundraising aims for the coming year. Plan International, an independent children's charity focused on improving basic rights worldwide, has been chosen by the firm as our Charity of the Year 2018/19. We're supporting its Safe Schools for Refugees in Ethiopia campaign:

  • It aims to get nearly 40,000 under 14s in Ethiopia back into education
  • Many of these children are newcomers into Ethiopia, forced to flee South Sudan following its devastating civil war; the others are local children
  • The campaign will help keep the most vulnerable safe and restore their chance to learn

Malcolm Murray's additional fundraising: £8,855 raised for Marathon de Sables/London Marathon 2018 via VirginMoneyGiving:

Our final challenge (11 Mar - 14 Apr 2019) in partnership with HIRE FITNESS was to cover a virtual distance of 6,642km on cycling and running machines in our office, representing the distance from our base (Gee's Court, London) to the location of the refugee camps in which the Safe Schools project is in action (Gambella, Ethiopia).  Read more below!
