Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you will probably know by now, I'm attempting to run the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 13th April.
The training is going OK, but in-between work, home-life, a newborn baby, chafing and bleeding nipples, it's been pretty desperate at times. N.B. The chafing and bleeding nipples are due to running, nothing to do with the baby.
As it's been a big undertaking, alongside losing weight and getting fitter, I thought I'd try to do a bit of good and raise a few pounds for a charity close to my heart (the best sort of charity)...
So, I'm running for The British Stammering Association (BSA) who do some great work to help and support adults and children who stammer, including people like Mushy, whose brilliant story you may have watched on Educating Yorkshire last year! They're a small charity but their work can change lives.
I've had my own issues with stammering over the years and still have my problems, especially when tired - so a new baby isn't the best medicine! I've been to speech therapy myself, but I wish I'd known about the charity a long time ago.
A donation to my JustGiving page, of any size, will help the BSA to continue to provide their unique services to help all whose lives are affected by stammering.
Many, many thanks.
