Leicester Panthers Cheer and Stunt are doing a 12 hour stunt-a-thon to raise awareness of sepsis and how life threatening it can be.
"Every 3.5 seconds, someone in the world dies of sepsis. In the UK alone, 52,000 people lose their lives to sepsis every year. This is more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer combined. Globally, sepsis claims 6 million lives a year. Yet with early diagnosis it is easily treatable.
The UK Sepsis Trust exists to fight this life-threatening condition, stop preventable deaths and support those affected by sepsis"-The UK Sepsis Trust.
This disease means a lot to us as a club after one of our amazing girls fell ill with sepsis late last year. To raise money, we are doing a 12 hour stunt-a-thon, which means that we are going to keep a girl lifted up off the ground for 12 hours straight. We would really appreciate any donations possible for this incredible cause.
