We give hope, opportunities & choices to those impacted by eating disorders

Story

First Steps ED provides invaluable support services for individuals with eating disorders and their families, covering the Midlands and further afield.  Eating Disorders can affect anyone of any age, gender or background, and recently, this has been massively compounded by the covid pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.

As a family, we would not be in the positive position we are now without First Steps’ fantastic support.  Their carer training and befriender services were absolute lifelines for us.  Fortunately, we are now in the final stages of recovery and want to help raise vital funds for First Steps to provide support for others.

At the start of August, we are planning to complete a sponsored trek of the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, with all monies raised going to First Steps to enable further work with young people, promoting their recovery.  The challenge is a 39.2 km route, incorporating the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with an ascent of 1381m, all completed in under 12 hours.

We would be so grateful if you could help us by sponsoring our challenge and donating towards this amazing cause.  Every amount pledged really does make a difference in people’s support and recovery journey.
