My mother-in-law Anne has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, with the prognosis of a few months, which came as a huge shock to us all. Rather than wait for it to happen, Anne has made the decision to live those last months to the fullest and is working her way through a bucket list. On this list is to do a sky dive, at the age of 75! Somehow I have found myself agreeing to do this along with her daughter Trudy.
The 3 of us will be skydiving from 16,000 feet on 8 December 2018 and decided that if we were going to be mad enough to skydive in the middle of December, we should try and raise some money for a charity of Anne's choosing. Anne chose Make a wish. This was based on the fact that at 75, she has lived a full life and has had the opportunity to experience many of her dreams. She wants to help to fulfil a dream for children who may not be as fortunate as she has or those who will suffer serious medical conditions throughout their life.
So there we have it. I'm jumping out of a plane with my 75 year old mother in law in just under 2 weeks!
Thank you for visiting my page and please like, share and donate if possible.
Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
