Story
Hi everyone,
We are the Lilian Faithfull Ramblers, so named not because we like to walk, but because we can all talk the hind legs off a donkey.
We all work for the charity Lilian Faithfull Care in various rolls and have taken on this challenge as we would like to buy a specialist piece of equipment for our residents to use. The item is called an OMI interactive projector and costs approximately £8000 to buy.
We believe that this projector would benefit the lives of our residents in so many ways and it is something that we could use across all of our homes, with all of our residents. The portable nature of the projector means that we can use it in communal area's and bedrooms, it projects onto walls, floors, tables and even beds. Take a look at it for yourselves: https://omi.uk/care/
What are we doing to raise the money? We are taking on the virtual Cheltenham Challenge event half marathon distance. Due to Covid-19 the event was cancelled last year and now it's back this year virtually. So we can choose our own route and location to do the distance. And we still get a medal to prove we've done it :-)
As non of us are used to walking such distances we will need all the help that we can get for both training and motivation on the day, so please, please give whatever you can and help us to reach our £1500 target.
Thanks so much.

About Lilian Faithfull Care charity
www.lilianfaithfull.co.uk/about-us/support-us/
As a charity we are in care for the right reasons - not for profit. Through our ‘Home for Life’ pledge, we will never ask a
resident to leave our group for financial reasons.
Our growing elderly population need us now more than ever.
A third of our residents have little or no means of personally funding their much needed care. As a charity we financially support around 73 residents and subsidise their fees to the amount of £1.55 million a year. This equates to around £21,200 per resident per annum.
96p in every £1 spent is put towards the day to day care of our
residents – and all that entails.
Any donations or fundraising large or small will contribute to
enhancing all of our residents’ experience and support those residents with little or no means.
Thank you for your donations
