Story
My dad has spent his career researching and treating thyroid disease as a doctor, and has worked with the British Thyroid Foundation for a number of years. Unfortunately, he himself was diagnosed himself with thyroid cancer last year and has successfully received treatment for it. Having been personally affected in this way, as well as seeing as a medical student and through dad's work the effects it has on people's lives, I would really like to fundraise money for the BTF in order to raise awareness and support those who suffer from thyroid cancer and other disease.
The triathlon is Olympic distance, with a 1500m swim, 40km bike and ending with a 10km run. Doing a triathlon will be a really big challenge for me and so any support at all to motivate my training and on the big day in August will be really appreciated!
