As a parent I feel passionate about education for children and feel that it is so important in this time of cuts and funding issues to support schools wherever possible to obtain the equipment needed for all children to have opportunities to learn in all areas. 

I am also passionate about running. Every year I run Worthing Half Marathon with my dedicated friend and running partner, Sarah (who also happens to be Auntie to my three boys). Last year I had six months off running from injury and whilst recovering I decided I had to be fixed for Worthing Half. Missing it wouldn’t feel right. So Sarah and I set about making this our plan. Together we have been training and we’re looking forward to and feeling confident about the race. 

Meanwhile having heard how my children’s school Swiss Gardens Primary School were needing to raise significant funds to provide essential IT equipment I thought why not combine mine and Sarah’s love of running and determination to get round Worthing with raising some funds towards this extremely worthy cause. 

So if you can find your way to making a donation (of any amount) then it will certainly help spur us on come race day (and on cold, windy, wet training runs in the next few weeks) but more importantly we know how much it will mean to the parents and staff of this simply brilliant school who are so committed to giving children the best educational experience possible.
