Last year a group of S3 Girls chose St. Vincent's Hospice as their charity for the Youth & Philanthropy Initiative competition and won £3000 for the charity.  The money they won was put towards children's resources and services.  You can find out about what the charity does via the group's presentation on the website here:

Year on year, St. Vincent's Hospice are seeing a continuous and growing demand for all of their services.  It costs around £6,000 per day to run the Hospice and their community services, which are free of charge. More than half of this is raised by the community and people like you.

They are not asking for a minimum amount of sponsorship to participate but simply that this is the ideal opportunity to raise funds for
St. Vincent’s Hospice.
