We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

Our team, made up of three doctors and a policeman are taking on the challenge of Ride London 100 for Prostate Cancer UK.

Each of us have varying levels of cycling ability and the event will push some us to the longest distance we have ever cycled. Murat, our most experienced member is keeping a close eye on all our training.......while Aidan is in charge of making sure we all look the part! He is taking his responsibility as a newly formed 'MAMIL' very seriously.....

Why Prostate Cancer UK?

As you may know Murat is a fully fledged Urologist and Lizzy is about to embark on a career in Urology so they were keen to persuade the team to support this charity. Prostate cancer is common, with 1 in 8 men being diagnosed with the condition in their lifetime. Prostate Cancer UK works to support patients and fund research. There is so much we can still do to improve our understanding and treatment of this cancer. I expect that in our careers we will see effective national screening and early detection of this disease; This will only be possible to ongoing investment into research.

Thank you for visiting our page and for your support. We know that there are so many great charities and fundraising events out there and we appreciate your support.
