Story

Land mines, cluster bombs and unexploded ordinance are a particularly nasty persistent evil, disproportionately affecting children and people in rural areas, rendering large areas of desperately needed farm land in impoverished areas unusable.

Every hour, someone in the world is injured or killed by a landmine or unexploded bomb. 42% of these casualties are children. MAG aims to save lives and rebuild futures by removing and destroying landmines and unexploded bombs from communities affected by war and violence around the world. Because of their work, people can not only live safely, they can farm safe land, build new houses and schools and children can walk without fear. .

On 14th July 2018, I will undergo a trial by combat for the London Longsword Academy, facing six of my peers and comrades for an hour without rest, to demonstrate I am fit to be named a Scholar of the school. This recreates in part the historic tests of skill from 17th Century  London. I will face my challengers with their choice of weapons, including but not limited to rapier, longsword, staff, sword and buckler, and messer.

Please show your support for my effort, and for the work of MAG, by donating to my page and help to support a safer future for millions of people.
