Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At 22 years old in March of this year I was diagnosed with an inoperable and (currently) incurable Brainstem/Midbrain Brain Tumour. I cannot explain to you in words how awful it is to have no current treatment options that will cure your disease.

Although this diagnosis is a shock, I do believe it has happened for a reason & it has made me a much more empathetic Anaesthetic Practitioner!

After 8 months of coming to terms with my diagnosis I started a Blog called Lobe Yourself because the brain is compromised of lobes. It's a no-negativity space aimed at adults with Brain Tumours who need readily available shared information, real-life positivity stories and honest reviews of alternative treatments. You can visit it here: lobeyourself.blogspot.com

The fundraising aspect of my blog is called Heading For a Cure.

My personal goal is to raise £10,000 by next New Year for The Brain Tumour Charity who were the only solid point of reference throughout my experience. They're constantly striving to find a cure sooner and this is all I could ask for.
