Story

Thank you for visiting our page.

We are raising funds for the Langtang medical centre which we are currently supporting and are aiming to set up a dental facility there and additional medical facilities in Kyangjen. We have already received a donation of £4,000 from Festival Medical Services and £750 from Jacobs UK Ltd.  We therefore hope to raise the balance  from the bike ride (£3,000) and from other planned events Bake Off and Pub Quiz (£250).

The bike ride is longer than the standard London to Brighton route, and follows part of the Avenue Verte route to Paris.

Many Jacobs' colleagues are taking part in this event, plus a few friends. We hope to make this an annual event, with a ride to Paris next year.

Thank you for your support in this event.

About the charity

We're a small charity formed in memory of our son Matt Carapiet who lost his life during the Nepal earthquake in 2015. Funds raised will help improve the education opportunities for children in Cambodia where Matt volunteered. We're also supporting a healthcare centre in Langtang village, Nepal.
