Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you who know me, you will also know that I don't go very far without my four wheeled friend! So for me, taking on this challenge is huge to say the least!

Coronary Heart Disease is the UK"s single biggest killer.  I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation as I've seen first hand the incredible difference they can make.  I work for the BHF helping to identify people with Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH), which is a genetic condition that causes high cholesterol levels from birth.  Over 300,000 people in the UK have FH but many are unaware putting them at high risk of developing coronary heart disease or having a heart attack at a very young age.

I'm also inspired by some of the many other initiatives they are pioneering.  The BHF are leading the fight to increase your chances of surviving an out of hospital arrest by creating a nation of lifesavers.  Their 'Call Push Rescue' and 'Heels for Hearts' initiatives aim to teach as many people as possible how to deliver life saving CPR which could make the difference between life and death.
