We research cures for childhood cancers to ensure that more children survive!

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page!

I am participating in YUSU RAG's Jailbreak 2017 along with my teammates Danny and Annie in order to raise money for, and awareness of Kidscan - a charity which funds research into new/improved treatments for children with cancer.

Currently, Kidscan is developing a drug to treat brain tumours in children. This drug would eliminate the need for life-threatening surgery and the long-term side effects resulting from treatments such as chemotherapy. Kidscan don't receive statutory funding, so rely on fundraising to facilitate their research.

On 17th of March, we will be given 30 hours to get as far away as possible from the University of York campus, without using any of our own money. We hope to fund-raise along the way, whilst also raising awareness of the charity we are supporting.

We each have a target of raising £120 (which will go directly to Kidscan) by March 7th - any donations to help reach that sum would be greatly appreciated!!
