Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Lorraine was beautiful in every way imaginable, she was kind caring and loved my brother and her children dearly.  when I started my journey into the fitness world she came with me to my Exercise To Music  exam and let me use her as a volunteer as I taught the session. There were 20 guys that day doing the same exam, meaning she had to take part in all 20 classes as we were accessed one by one. She never complained once and she smiled through every class giving her all even though she only knew me. That was just how she was.

Lorraine did not smoke nor drink excessively, she exercised she lead a healthy life.

Cancer does not discriminate.

Since that horrible diagnosis I have come to hear the word cancer more and more, last year a friend of a friend lost her life after battling for a few years with breast cancer. Last week a colleague in her 40’s at work lost her fight and only the other day a friend’s 17 year old nephew has been diagnosed. When I hear the words Cancer now I think of a clock ticking away and no one can tell you how long it will tick or when it will stop.

I know as you are reading this at least one in three of you will have been affected by Cancer or know someone who has.

We could wallow in the unfairness of life, we could get angry that good people are dying young.

We could fear the worst because experience has affected any hope we have had.

None of these reactions however will ever change the outcomes of those fighting cancer.

What will help is by us standing up together and helping each other.

We can visit that neighbour and do their shopping so their family can spend more time with them.

We can share good times with our communities to make each and every life matter.

We can sit in baths of beans and raise money for research and for the cost of helping care for someone with cancer.

I can challenge myself by riding from London to Paris to raise £4,500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

that's just what I have decided to do. please help us however small a donation you can afford. every penny counts. help me Teach the target.

thank you in advance

Marita
