Story
You probably all know my story of my very unique head! My meds are currently having to change and so I’m having to taper off over the next 4 weeks. This is causing me some harsh withdrawal effects so Instead of feeling sorry for myself I thought I would try and turn it into a positive. So I’m doing 100 miles in 4 weeks In anyway I can. This will be a combination of walking and swimming. At the moment just getting myself out of bed is a challenge so I’m hoping if I can raise some money it will keep me focused and help battle the blues!! I’m raising funds for the British Tinnitus association. Tinnitus is a constant pain in my ass and the charity does a lot to help people like me. Any little donation however small would be a massive help. Thank you so much.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income. At a time when vulnerable members of society need them most, charities have had to cut services, furlough staff and some have even shut down. Captain Tom stepped up to help, taking on his famous walk to support the NHS Covid-19 appeal and inspiring millions to donate to the cause. I will be celebrating the extraordinary spirit of Captain Tom my way and help my chosen charity.
