Valentines High School and Sixth Form are determined to do some good while stuck at home during lockdown, so we have
decided to begin the Charity Challenge. Each form group has researched and selected a charity which is important to them and are competing to see who can raise the most awareness and money. LS2 form has selected AGE UK.

With the current situation it is even more important than ever to be surrounded by people that make us feel happy and make us feel safe. Unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone, the elderly who are trapped in care homes and who cannot go out even for a walk remain between in the same 4 walls and are waiting for the sound of the bell to go so they can see their loved ones again, but they are still waiting. Age UK helps the elderly and anyone caring for them by providing financial and emotion support, as money is not everything sometimes you need someone to sit next to you and just ask if you are fine. It is no doubt that with age comes health problems and Age UK has specialist individual to help people going through dementia and provide extra medical assistance for a happier body and mind. Please donate to Age UK they are doing a very noble cause and help make everyone’s voice heard, even the ones that can’t speak loud enough.
