Story
A lot of you will know that I quite like running, and in fact tend to not shut up about it. I've previously raced in a number of half marathons, and trained many times for a full one but due to injuries or COVID-19 have never completed the full 26.2 miles. So I have decided, if i'm finally going to do it, might as well do that very famous one in London. Running is a huge part of how I manage my well-being and mental health, which a lot of people have been affected by over the last year, so I feel even more passionate about getting this done and hopefully running more marathons in the future!
I have also decided to run for Thames Reach because they are a brilliant charity fighting to end homelessness in London. I currently volunteer with them as part of their Rapid Response team and wanted to give back further, share more of their amazing work, and also raise awareness, especially during these tough and unprecedented times. These charities need your help now more than ever, so please donate whatever you can, every penny helps.
Hope to see as many of you on the finish line, if you are there to support me on the day, please come with a bucket of pasta and some beer.
Thanks all!
Lucy
