Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As you may know, my youngest daughter Lucy was diagnosed earlier this year with Type 1 Diabetes.

She has decided to put herself, and unfortunately the rest of the family, down to do a 5k walk on Sunday 12th September to try and raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

She is hoping to help towards their aim to find a cure for this life changing condition which means that Lucy now has to inject herself four times a day and undertake numerous blood tests to monitor her condition. At only 11 she has had to give up sweets, chocolate and loads of other treats that most kids of her age enjoy but she is determined not to let it get her down and to do something positive about it.

I would be most grateful for any support you can give her and don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks to everyone who supports us
