My name is Luke Campbell and I will be running 1 mile a day for the whole of May (Tuberous Sclerosis Awareness month), to raise awareness of TSC and to raise funds towards the charity, and especially for my little cousin Harvey who has TSC and epilepsy. Also it’s for every family and person out there living with TSC. 

I am Harvey’s older cousin and want to raise as much money as I can for my little cousin to spread the awareness. Harvey is 6 years old and was diagnosed with the rare disease TSC at 14 months old.  He suffers mainly with epilepsy and seizures everyday. He is such a happy and loving boy. Tuberous sclerosis (also called tuberous sclerosis complex, or TSC) is a rare, multi-system genetic disease that causes non-cancerous (benign) tumors to grow in the brain and on other vital organs such as the kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs, and skin. It usually affects the central nervous system and can result in a combination of symptoms including seizures, impaired intellectual development, autism, behavioural problems, skin abnormalities, and kidney disease. I feel very passionate about this. The money raised will go towards the TSC alliance which helps families with children or adults living with this disease.
