We have decided to participate in the #Challenge32 for Holles street as the NICU unit was amazing when Tiernan was born at 32 weeks +6. He spent 2 weeks in the neonatal unit until he was ready to come home.

Every year, 5,000 babies are born preterm in Ireland. About 900 of these preterm babies are born at less than 32 weeks gestation. Babies from around the country are transferred to The NMH each week because they need the very special care of our NICU team.

We had actually asked people attending his christening to donate to NMH Foundation instead of buying gifts, but, like most events, it was cancelled.
