Event: SimplyHealth Great North Run 2018, on 9 September 2018
In memory of Clara Turner
We have 70 runners taking part in the biggest most iconic half marathon in the world which takes place on 9th September in Newcastle. They have all been affected by sepsis and are fundraising for us.

Story

The 7th August 2017 was the worst day, Sepsis entered our lives and took our beautiful daughter Clara from us.

The Sepsis Trust do fantastic work to raise awareness of the symptoms of Sepsis, both to the public and the medical profession. I believe that by raising money for them will save some families from losing loved ones too early.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
