Story
I want to take up the challenge of completing a 25,000 Xmas stepathon to help raise funds for Neoangels charity. Now 25,000 steps may not be a significant distance for many but at 86 years old I now need to use a walking frame to get about. So for me it will feel like a marathon!.
I have targeted myself to do the 25,000 steps in December, walking around the village of Muker where l live.
I am also hoping to raise £2,500, £1 for every 10 steps I complete.
I want to raise funds for Neo Angels, to help ensure this amazing little charity can continue to do its wonderful work supporting families of poorly and premature babies on the Neonatal Units this Xmas.
Please help me make a difference.
Neo Angels is a charity that is dedicated to providing as much love, care and support as possible to their families, babies and staff on the Neonatal Unit at North Tees and James Cook hospitals . Neo Angels helps ease the financial burden parents face by purchasing parking vouchers, helping with travel expenses and providing parents with a daily hot meal in the hospital canteen. They also fundraise to provide medical equipment to help the nursing teams better care for babies on the units. Neo Angels importantly offers emotional support for parents and siblings, funds a specialised neonatal play group and has continued to deliver its services during Covid 19.
