The Brain Tumour Charity has been Major Family Law's adopted charity for over 3 years and we continue to support it with a programme of events throughout the year including our annual rounders event. We've done pretty well so far and are delighted to have raised just shy of £20,000. Many thanks for all of your generosity and please do visit our sister link at: justgiving.com/joanne-major1.
This year, however, we're planning something a little different. Members of Major Family Law are proposing to undertake a grueling trek across the Sahara desert early 2019 to raise much needed funds for the Brain Tumour Charity and Joanne Major aspires to be the first woman to complete the trek in her signature high heels!
Our own personal journey over the last 4 years has been a difficult trek through the landscape of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Each year 3000 folk are diagnosed in the UK with aggressive brain cancer, commonly known as a glioblastoma. Just 3% survive to 3 years. We therefore feel blessed our family is defeating those odds and we welcome this Sahara challenge.
Please support us raising money for this fantastic cause committed to find a cure to the biggest cancer killer to those under 40 which is only recently making progress to get the funding it deserves thanks to Baroness Tessa Jowell and other high profile supporters.
