As many of you may be aware now, torrential rains, flooding and land slides have been reeking havoc, destroying homes and spreading disease in many areas of Peru over the past few months. The natural materials the houses are built from are not used to, or prepared for extreme weather conditions. Many have lost their lives and 1000's have been displaced.

Sadly, our Northern projects are now being effected by the phenomenon, el Nino, responsible for these devastating storms and rain. 

Mama Cochas therapy room roof has collapsed and the one over the house is also loose and leaking badly. We need URGENT funds to repair the damages and dry the rooms out as currently they are too damp to work in. We also need materials for therapy as many have been ruined.

Clean drinking water is also becoming desperate as the main highway is closed and deliveries are few and far between. When it does arrive, it is expensive and hard to get.

We need funds to implement our water supplies for the service users and families we support.

As a banner on the streets said today:

'We can survive without gold, but we will die without water'.

We need to raise URGENT funds to help our teams and families at this terrible time.
