Hi I'm mamos and although I am overweight and can't run for toffee I have entered and been accepted to run in the 2009 Tresco Marathon.

Officially billed as the smallest marathon in the world and an alternative to the London Marathon (it is held on the same day) it is run over a 26.2 mile course taking in seven and a half laps of the hilly but beautiful island of Tresco in the Isles of Scilly.

I need to raise at least £500 to qualify for the race but I'm sure we can do better than that so please still give even if I have reached my target.
