Story
For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month the MAN-TP team has chosen to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to link in with the 'cancer commute' campaign.
The daily commute can be a pain! The delays, the distance and the cost. Now imagine it while going through cancer treatment. Families of children and young people face this regularly - the 'cancer commute'. They have to travel on average of 60 miles to and from hospital for treatment, sometimes a few times a week.
We are completing the (25 mile) walk to highlight the distances that families have to travel in order for their children to access the services and treatment they need.
25 miles x 30 people = 750 miles
