Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This time three years ago I was just over 26 weeks pregnant with my miracle twins. And being told they could deliver at any time (as twin 2 aka Jack, was being a right pest). We had been given the news that we were having a girl and boy and that our little boy had a 1 in 8 chance of being born with Down Syndrome. I am not going to lie, Richard and I were saddened by this news and the fact that we were not going to have our 'perfect' little family. But... we had taken 6 years to get pregnant and nothing was going to stop our happiness. Three years on and those feelings couldn't be further from the our mind. We do have our perfect family and one that I couldn't be prouder of. Jessica is a chatty, funny little person, (who is quite annoying at times too) and Jack simply amazes us every day with how he is developing. And that development is, in part, down to PSDS and Digbies - without them we wouldn't have such and amazing, additional (as we have brilliant friends and family who are there for us), support network. But the team at Digbies have taught us all so much about how best to support Jack and his needs, pushing him on and seeing him develop every day.
This is why my wonderful friends, family and I are running to raise money for PSDS. This bunch of beautiful friends and family were so happy for me when I finally got pregnant and now are here to help us in supporting this amazing charity - who give us and Jack so much. Thank you all so much, love you all!
I know we have raised money before and I am sorry to ask again - but I am so passionate about this charity. Not only does Jack get amazing support and guidance but so do a lot of his buddies. It costs PSDS c£3k a year to put one child through Digibies (who give specialist Speech and language, occupational therapy and learning) - so Joggers for Jack's aim is to try and raise something towards that £3k for Jack to go through Digibies next year. So, anything you can spare will go a long, long way.
Thank you for taking time to read this and for your sponsorship. It sure will help our legs get round our respective distances!
