Story
Can't believe I've reached my 50% mark thanks to all you amazing people
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This page is based on raising all the money i can for a charity close to my heart and that is Cancer Research. I'm sure everyone of us has been through the heartbreaking time of loosing someone to this illness, or at least knows someone who has been through it. I'm one of many out there who knows what it's like to loose one of the most important people to them. A few days before i turned 17 in 2012 i found out my mum had terminal cancer.. this wasn't the first time. My mum was a breast cancer survivor not only once but twice so finding out she had cancer for a third time was truly one of the worst things to happen. She had Kidney Cancer at first we all thought she could fight it but i think deep down we knew that 2012 would be the last Christmas and last new year we would spend with her. In 2013 that was made official when we got told it was terminal, you would of thought we would of at least got years with her, but getting told it could be months or even less than that was shocking. Even then my mum was the one who had to assure me things were going to be okay. That's the irony my mum was the one getting told she was the one dying yet she still remained the strong optimistic women, that i looked up to and loved unconditionally. March 27th 2013.. My older brother , My two older sisters, My Dad and I all watched my mum take her last breath. The moment was bittersweet, snow was heavily falling down - (which my mum loved) and she got her last wish to die with her family. Knowing she was no longer in pain was the only way i could look at it, to know she was know in peace. I never talk , or post anything about this, I'm not looking for sympathy, I wanted to post this story to raise money for a women , who was a mother , a wife , a carer and a friend. She would do anything for anyone and ask nothing in return. So Please help me raise money for this cause, to invest in your own lives and the people you love around you.
TOGETHER WE CAN BEAT CANCER!
