We are a 24 hour search & rescue service to save lives at sea

Story

We are a team of six open water swimmers who are taking on an epic challenge in September 2021. Starting our relay swim from Nanjizal Beach in Cornwall, England, we will head out of the English Channel and into the Atlantic Ocean for a 28 mile journey across the sea to the Isles of Scilly. To date, only one relay team has ever completed this feat. However, we aim to be the first non-wetsuit team to conquer this swim.

A challenge like this requires a huge amount of training and preparation and along the way we will inevitably be dealing with hypothermia, jellyfish stings, injury and worst of all - self doubt. But we aim to pull together as a team and deal with whatever is thrown at us and ultimately land successfully in the Scilly Isles.

The charity we are fundraising for is the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). To show your support of our historic challenge, please give generously to help fund the brave men and women who risk their own lives at sea to save those of others.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
