Story
Thanks so much for stopping by.
After over 25 years of racing together and throwing stupid challenges down at each other, this one seemed perfect. A race from Nairn on the east coast of Scotland to Loch Leven on the west coast, by foot, bike and kayak.
Of course, it can be tackled in two days, but we have opted for a single day challenge.
The lives we all lead now can be difficult to balance out with a good proportion of healthy eating, and active lifestyle and or course some serious partying in between, and its no different for us. This isn't supposed to be easy, it’s more about being a team together, getting through each stage as it hits us and enjoying the journey along the way. We’re not super athletes (although, Simon has just qualified for the triathlon world championships!) but we know how to race to our limits and slightly beyond.. Hopefully, it may inspire you to do something similar, or even just get off the sofa and go for a walk.
Heres what lies ahead for us on September 14th:
7 mile trail run from Nairn to Cawdor Castle
48 miles road cycle to Loch Ness
1 mile kayak to fort Augustus
21 mile offroad cycle to The Great Glen
13.5 mile road cycle to Fort William
14 mile run over to Loch Leven (west highland way) this will be our breaking point I think.
Final 1 mile kayak to Isle of Glencoe
Any donations will go straight to the charity which works tirelessly to aid those in need who are involved with or have been effected by alcohol so please give generously
With thanks to Glenfiddich for initial sponsorship, the Kinghouse Hotel Glencoe and all those supporters along the way. (Especially our partners Michelle and Laura- for putting up with our moans and groans)
