A bit about myself (Martin) and Tom.

Having cycled for charity for our workplace before and both
sampled a taste of southeast Asia, we have decided to embark on a 382km ride
from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia - A world
famous temple site dating back to 879 AD.

The route will take us through traditional villages; We will follow gorgeous
streams and rivers, past paddy fields (where we hope they will sell Guinness!) all
overlooked by stunning mountains.

Sounds good right?!

But as we’ll be off the beaten track, potentially cycling in very hot and humid
conditions and the odd monsoon it will be a challenge like no other.

The village with deep fried tarantulas for sale sounds particularly
interesting.

The reason for our mission is to raise money for Forward
Facing, a charity very close to our hearts and one we actively volunteer with for
events and fun times they make possible for children and families in the south.
Forward Facing helps families who deal with life limiting or long-term
conditions and those who have lost loved ones and need an escape from the
trauma of bereavement.

Forward Facing provide an escape from the daily struggles
these families endure by helping create memories that will last forever.

Founded by my partners best friend Tasleen, who sadly passed
away from her own illness, Candice vowed to carry on her good work and now
heads the charity working tirelessly to enable it to function with a team of incredible
Trustees, ambassadors and volunteers.



Tom and I have a target of £6,200k to raise by November 2019 when we set off. A lot
of money but we hope this can be achieved by the generosity of people who
understand how vital Forward Facing is to the children and families they help.
