On Sunday 24th September 2017 I’m running the Ealing Half Marathon in the hope that I can raise some money for Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay.

Rowcroft is committed to providing comfort, support and specialist care to over 2,000 patients and their loved ones across South Devon each year.

The hospice staff provided invaluable support to my mother-in-law and her family when she was ill and looked after her with immense care and kindness in her final days. I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without them.

Rowcroft has faced a shortfall in funding in the past year or so which has meant they’ve had to reduce the breadth of some of their services. They have a three year plan in place to improve the financial stability of the hospice and hopefully once greater financial stability is achieved they’ll be able to increase patient numbers and breadth of care once more.

One of the ways Rowcroft hopes to improve its financial stability is through fundraising and so I am asking you for money! I paid the race entry fee myself so all the money I raise goes directly to Rowcroft. I realise you will regularly receive requests for sponsorship but if you’re able to spare a few pounds to support this wonderful place and its brilliant staff I know it will be greatly appreciated.
