Sheffield Half Marathon
On May the 8th we will be running the Sheffield half marathon, to raise money for the Kasiisi Porridge project, a charity that currently provide daily meals for some 1500 primary school children in western Uganda.
Building For the Future….
The Charity has recently acquired a 20 acre plot of land near the schools and is now working with Ugandan colleagues to transform this land into a farm. This is where we come in… We have been asked to go to Uganda this summer to work with the local people to design and build a farm manager’s house, workers quarters and animal pens etc. The project will not only produce food for the schoolchildren but will also start to promote self sufficiency as well as providing a valuable educational resource.
Humanitarian Architecture work
After the success of our project last year, where we built a community kitchen for a rural village in Nicaragua, we are keen to pursue similar humanitarian building projects and feel really enthusiastic about this project. Any donation you make would be greatly appreciated.
