All proceeds of this fundraiser go directly to Pets As Therapy as printing and postage costs have been generously donated.

We all know Max is too special not to share.

Earlier this year Max qualified as a Pet As Therapy dog and since July has been making weekly visits to see the children at the Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Pets As Therapy is the only charity of its kind in the UK that can assess and verify pets as safe and gain them access into institutions whose occupants benefit greatly through regular visits.

Witnessing first-hand at what a difference Max’s visit can make to a
sick child’s day has prompted me to make something to sell that celebrates Max and raises money to support such a small and special charity.

Pets As Therapy is a national charity founded in 1983 by Lesley Scott-Ordish.
Developed to enhance health and wellbeing in the community through the visits of trusted volunteers with their behaviourally assessed animals. Pets As Therapy provide a visiting service in hospitals, hospices, nursing and care homes, special needs schools and a variety of other venues all across the UK.

Therapeutic visits: 

- Enhance lives in our communities by providing companionship and friendship and helps to tackle loneliness.

- Improve the lives of people suffering from debilitating mental and physical health conditions and illnesses such as Autism, Dementia and Stroke by including animal assisted interventions as part of a holistic approach to treatment.

- Improve literacy in children by developing their confidence, interest and enjoyment in reading through our read2dogs scheme.

We have made Max the pin-up he was born to be in his very own Max for Pets As Therapy 2018 A4 Wall Calendar.
