This year MCS Group is proudly supporting Action for
Children’s Byte Night. One of our major fundraising activities for 2018 is to run the Belfast City Marathon, where we will be competing as a relay team. The team consists of Karl Webb, Nadine Savage, Sara Mitchell, David McCallum and Louise Smyth. We are extremely grateful for any support that you can provide towards this fantastic cause. 

Action for Children make sure any child who needs help gets
help – whatever their background and wherever they are in the UK. Byte Night is taking place on Friday 5th October, across 10 locations within the UK and is Action for Children's biggest annual fundraiser; a national ‘sleep-out’ event. Each year, hundreds of like minded people from the technology and business arena give up their beds for one night to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. 

Action for Children supports more than 390,000 children, young people and families each year. In particular, Byte Night works to support some of the 83,000 young people who are homeless in the UK every year through no fault of their own. Family breakdown, mental health issues and abuse in the home are just a few of the causes which lead to many young people becoming homeless. Action for Children has supported many young people to a safe and happy future. Unfortunately, so many more still need our help. 

From before they are born until they are into their twenties, the charity help disadvantaged children across the UK and Northern Ireland. Action for Children really are at the heart of communities with nearly 30 services across the Northern Ireland, improving the lives of 6,000 children, teenagers, parents and young carers every year. We succeed by doing what’s right, doing what’s needed, and doing what works for children.

The children, young people and families supported face the most difficult problems in life. Some have mental health, drug or alcohol problems. Others are teenage parents. Many have fallen behind at school or have been excluded. Some were neglected as children, and many are at risk of homelessness. All have had significant challenges to face.
