Biomedical research into M.E.is seriously underfunded. We need to do more if we are to learn how and why this cruel illness starts - how to test for it or treat it, or better still, how to cure it.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

4 years ago, during a really bad patch, which I blamed on a sleeping disorder and stress, I was finally diagnosed with ME/CFS. I am very fortunate that I only have ME mildly and am now recovering well but I still find daily life incredibly challenging. I have, over the past 2 years, been able to recover enough to improve my level of fitness where I can run 5K, walk for extended periods and lift my own bodyweight. Only a short while ago, I struggled to walk down the road and lift a bag of shopping but I am one of the lucky ones! Many with ME are bed or wheelchair bound and will never recover enough to function on a daily basis. I am raising money for them. They need our help and support and they need to be seen and taken seriously! Thank you for your support.

Speaking of which, I am not doing this alone! I will be walking with my two best boys, my better half - Anthony Munn and my beloved little man - Gizmo the chihuahua and hopefully . . . Foggy Dog of team Foggy aka ME Foggy Dog - a charity campaign local to Portsmouth to help raise awareness and funds for the ME Association.

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
