Three in five of us will become a carer at some point in our lives.

We all need help and support sometimes. When your family or friends grow old or ill, you may find yourself looking after someone you love on a part time, or even full time, basis. That’s when you become a carer.

Carers Trust is here to help those who spend their time helping others. With over 170 Network Partners, including care schemes and carers centres across the UK, as well as providing online support, Carers Trust is the UK’s largest charity for carers.

Thanks to all of the great support Carers Trust provides, we have chosen them as our Mecca charity partner. Part of the Rank Group Plc, all of our 97 bingo clubs as well as meccabingo.com will be supporting Carers Trust with volunteering as well as fund-raising. That means we’ll have loads of great games and activities for you to join in with to help make people’s lives a little easier and happier!

Dedicated grant funds will be set up to support carers across the UK with the money that we raise:

Essentials Fund – providing basic household equipment to carers who are experiencing financial hardship

Inspire to Be Fund – enabling carers to gain new skills

Take a Break Fund – giving carers time out from their caring role to relax and recharge their batteries.
