Thank you for taking the time to visit this page. I run the Meeja Law blog, a resource and news site about media law and ethics - for bloggers, journalists, lawyers, researchers or anyone who is interested in the topic! It's free for all readers, but I'd like to invite you to make a donation to my chosen charity, the Big Issue Foundation.
The Big Issue is a weekly magazine sold by homeless and vulnerably housed people. It offers them the opportunity to earn a legitimate income by selling a magazine to the general public. The Big Issue believes in "offering ‘a hand up, not a hand out’ and in enabling individuals to take control of their lives".
The Big Issue Foundation is a registered charity which exists to help the magazine vendors gain control of their lives by addressing the issues which have contributed to their homelessness. It offers vendors advice and referrals in four keys areas; housing, health, financial independence and aspirations.
The organisation currently supports over 2900 homeless and vulnerably housed people across the country. The magazine is read by over 670,000 people every week throughout the UK.
Please consider making a one-off, occasional or regular donation to this page, to motivate me to keep writing the Meeja Law blog but more importantly, to support the Big Issue Foundation's valuable work.
